I'll Take it!!

We saw this sign down some back alley in Calcutta and I had to take a picture. I do not know if I want the Bamboo Chicks or the Vatical Blind. But for sure I want one of them.

Hi, this is related to an article in Indian express on your blog. I tried to leave a comment on line and the perverts keep editing my text to amuse themselves. This is what I sent them "I enjoy reading Joe & Christina's blog. Its refreshing to see our country thru another's eyes, particularly when it is'nt written from a "these weird Indian do things like...." viewpoint. Their photos actually make me appreciate simple things like birds, sunsets, auto art differently in my own town. The early photos of "Naan bread" - just naan will do - & incredibly dry chicken dishes used to make me want to send them recipes for easier rotis and meat dishes with a some gravy, but I couldnt be bothered to register with blogger just for that. Someone else seems to be teaching them tho. All blogs are'nt as positive - blogs.libsoninc.com/haherron for eg. Reading this cribfest was iirritating more cos I couldnt specifically deny anything Heather Libson had to say. But I realise its NOT US, its HER - she's back in the US & continues to crib about San Franciso & Marin county & anything else she comes in contact with. When travelling, I think a positive, open outlook helps". They edited it the first time and I resent it, and look at what they changed it too. I'm so pissed off at indian express- talk about people being unwilling to listen to feedback of ANY kind.

Hi Deepa!

Thanks you for the clarification and also for the kind words. As for "weird" India things, people sometimes forget that "weird" interactions with people happen everywhere. I have had me share in India, but then I lived in San Francisco for eight years and believe me, San Francisco is a weird and GREAT city. I would also like to thank you for posting a comment on our blog because you were the first person that let us know the article was written!

Cheers,
Joe & Kristina

PS PLEASE send us one of your meat dishes with gravy! -J&K
