When we first got here we wrote a blog posting about the stark contrast between the people who lived in apartment complexes like ours and the people who lived in the slums around us (like within one or two hundred feet). Shortly thereafter, the New York Times wrote about the exact same thing in an article. I made a point of calling "Foul play New York Times!". No response from the Times. A few weeks ago we went to Mumbai and noted that the taxis were different and strange and cool. See link below. Today, the New York Times saw something similar. Coincidence? I don't think so.

They could almost be the same pictures. At least I had the guts to ask the guy to let me get in the driver's seat of one of the taxis.
