Happy New Year. We had a wonderful time in the US although it was a little strange because we felt oddly out of place. Now it is similarly strange here. Chicago was beautiful and freezing, San Francisco was beautiful and San Francisco like, and Monterey was beautiful and beautiful. Corresponding pictures shown above. We ate our way through the US and are now in the process of losing all the weight again. We did not have a chance to go to the east coast but we will be there again in just under four months. It is now absolutely freezing here. Although people in Chicago or in New York may not consider it very cold, it is unusually cold for people in India who are not prepared for it. the overwhelming majority of people do not have heat. After we read an article about the severe cold in India this morning at five AM (see link at top of page) we made and bought down two cups of tea for the security officer at the front of our building.
