Oranges
Look at this. For the first few months of living here (okay, until pretty much right now) I saw these huge limes at the store. While I thought they were kind of neat, I did not see much of a use for gargantuan limes (unless I ran across a HUGE Corona) and avoided them. It turns out that they are oranges not limes, and that they are delicious. See how the insides are orange while the outsides are green? Whoaaaa! Why don't we have them in the USA and why have I not seen them before or at least heard of them?

LOL. Thanks for your blog on India. Just found it today. We've being living on the Dilli/Gurgaon border for over a year. I am glad to read that I am not the only one having an adventure/weird time discovering this place. I can't wait to read more. Keep up the good work.
we call oranges oranges because oranges are orange. what do they call them over yonder?

I'm confusing myself....
They call oranges "greens" here Jin. To differentiate between oranges and watermelons and peas, they call watermelons "big greens" and peas "little greens". They got it all figured out here.

Thanks for the compliment Shezell. Adventure is a pretty good word for it. Next week we are actually going to put up a post with pictures of those crazy red carrots they have here.
