Our only trip out so far has been to Agra. Not to minimize it because it was amazing. But we've been a little slow in venturing out beyond Gurgaon and Delhi. Tomorrow, we're going to Kerala for a long weekend. Many thanks to Nipin and Anna for their encouragement! Everyone we have talked to has said it's one of the most beautiful places in the world. We will post some photos when we get back.
At the end of the month we're headed to Australia for a week. In some ways, it makes no sense to leave India at all. There's more interesting traveling to do here than can be accomplished in 10 years. But, in other ways, it makes even more sense that we need to get out of here for awhile. Ask, and we'll explain.
In any case, this is a great month for us. With everything going on at work, we can't take any more significant trips until we head back to Chicago for the holidays. So this is it and we're going to make the most of it.

Have a great trip. And since you mentioned needed to get away to Australia I will ask, why?
We didn't necessarily need to go to Australia. Just out of India. We try not to focus on these things too much, but it will be nice to be somewhere where you can brush your teeth with water from the faucet, eat food that's not necessarily cooked and hot, walk down a sidewalk without worrying about what or who you will step on. I never thought I would crave a vacation back to regular life. But then again, I never thought I would live in India.
Ah yes, makes sense. Have a great time. And watch for a package, should be coming maybe this week or next for sure.
